It's Getting Closer

Bonjour!
I have been lacking on keeping my blog updated. Since I blogged last, a lot has happened... I backpacked across Italy (Pisa, Napoli, Venice, Florence, and Rome), vistited London and Ireland (Dublin and Galway) and enjoying my final days in Paris. I can't belive that my time in Europe is coming to and end... it's such a bittersweet feeling. I try not to think about the fact that in 6 days I will be leaving this place, it's become my home. No more free art museums, no more pain au chocolats, no more handsome French men, and no more Paris... I don't like this one bit.

On Monday my Fashion Merchandising and Marketing class went to Georges Rech design headquarters. The room was filled with sewing machines, sketches, mannequins, and clothing. I felt like I was in my Clothing Construction class at Marymount, only ten times more intimidating. The head designer- who went by Jerry, gave us a tour of the studio. We got a preview to what the new line will look like for Fall 2012, it's crazy to think about how early the construction starts on clothing collections.

Today I spent the day exploring around Paris, trying to do the things I had left to do. I went to the Bvlgari Jewelry Exhibition at Grand Palais and fell in love. The turquoise and diamond pieces were insane, if you know me... you know my obsession with turquoise. All of the pieces were stunning and so intricate. I am positive by the time I was done looking at everything, I had diamonds and jewels reflecting off my pupils. Below are pictures from today, including my favorite Bvlgari pieces.
